Outings to the Store

I was looking through pictures and was thinking about how many "store outings" Kohen and I have had. Yes, I call them outings because when there's not much (anything) to do here and you don't have money, you look forward to getting toilet paper, or anything that gets you out of the house. Even if Stuart happens to be home when I need to run errands I always take this cute guy with me. I hate to be with out him! Even though all errands usually involve a fit of some sort (oh the stories I could tell), I love his company.

We love to go to Costco together as a family and check stuff out. And I swear we are the only ones who leave with only a box of diapers and some milk.

Kohen loves to check stuff out himself. However, if there's a ball in sight don't even think of passing it by with out letting him play with them. In fact, at church we have to avoid the gym because he'll fight relentlessly to get to the balls in the gym if he sees them.

We can't go anywhere with out people coming up to Kohen and chatting with him. Fortunately Kohen LOVES it! He's always loved attention and jibbering and jabbering with everyone.

Picnic at Daddy's School

Stuart and Kohen miss each other so much during the day that we often make visits to Stuart's school so they can spend at least a few minutes together. This particular day was back in September when it was actually still nice weather.

Kohen has always been an alert and active busy body. It's nice to get a little break from chasing him once in a while to just sit back and watch.

For those who know what a huge germ freak I am, you know it was an accomplishment to let Kohen put his food on the bench. We did however still clean our hands before eating.

Visiting Gramma & Grampa

Visit to see Gramma & Grampa

Back in August Kohen and I got to fly out and see my parents.
(I've had complications getting pictures off my phone this time for some reason...thus the late post)
This wasn't Kohen's first time flying and it wasn't the first time just the two of us flew but I have to say he's always a trooper. (I didn't say an absolute angel however haha) We had a loooong day with layovers and it was partially around his nap time on top of it. He was hungry (picky), and a BUSY body. So I thought I'd get him the frosty to at least get him to hold still. Being the independent guy he is he of course had to feed himself and make a mess. But it was worth the 5 minutes of being able to sit still and have my sanity. The picture above makes me chuckle every time I look at it. We were right in between the big food court and the security checkpoint. So basically in front of hundreds of people. You should've seen the looks I got. I either got "Aw how cute" looks or compliments OR looks of "what a bad parent." Right after I took this picture I decided it was time to head to the terminal and tried to take his frosty away. That immediately triggered the BIGGEST fit. Ice cream, arms, legs,...you name it is flinging. His screaming is echoing. People are all turned and staring. I'm just trying not to drop him since he's not exactly a small guy. Then trying to push a stroller with a large heavy carry on, a heavy backpack away from the spotlight while still carrying Kohen. Haha. It was one of those things you couldn't help but laugh.
Kohen cheered up as soon as he heard a restaurant with music and be-lined into it and started dancing. Note: Yes, Monkey backpacks help prevent your child from getting to far from you BUT they also catch/trip anyone in between.

We made it though and it was so worth it.
Kohen LOVED the attention,
all of the toys....

the mud pie....

the water park....

playing with the rocks out of our front yard....
being on the go and NOT sitting still on Mommy's lap when there was so much to explore.....stealing everyone's phones....

climbing the stairs....

playing with my cousins....
(he jumped right in and thought he was one of the big kids)

and of course helping Gramma clean!

What's better than a tent? A tent on a couch of course! Auntie Krista got the idea of putting the tent on the couch over her and Kohen thought it was such a good idea that he sat on her lap totally content. In the picture on the left Kohen is rubbing her leg (because she was rubbing his). It was so cute!

Grampa got sick and wasn't able to play with Kohen some of the time which stunk.
Kohen and Kay (our cat) finally noticed each other and interacted. The both were "gentle" towards each other thankfully.
He got spoiled rotten.
He loved all the attention and decided he could sit still long enough
for some snuggles from Gramma.

On the way home Grampa sent money for Kohen to get another frosty.
This time he was great and just sat and watched the planes and flirted with the lady next to us.

Thanks Gramma & Grampa for such a fun visit!
