To those who have gone on and to those who carry on

Ten years ago when I first heard about the news I was carpooling with my friend/"other brother" Chris to middle school when he asked if I had heard what happened. I hadn't nor did I really understand. I don't know if it's solely because I'm a decade older or because I have a child now that I can't bear the thought of loosing, that I sympathize so much deeper today.
I remember the sense of pride our country had and how we seemed to turn to God for comfort, understanding and strength. (I wish we could always keep that "one nation under God")
I am so grateful for the men and women who serve our country.
They leave their families to help ensure that me and my family are safe.
That I have the freedom to worship who I choose.
So that I don't have to feel so worried about being blown up by a bomb or a grenade if I step out into the street.
To not feel (AS) worried that something will happen to my children.
So my heart goes out to those who have gone on as well as those who carry on.
My prayers are with you!

Who knew?

Who knew my baby would have curl in his hair?
(Not to mention be SO big!)

Goodbye Summer ...Hello Fall

Cupcakes I made at the beginning of the summer.
(Don't know what happened to the upper left picture ..but you get the point. "Hamburgers" "corn on the cob" & "kabobs, steak, hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill")

Cupcakes I made for my sisters I visit and Stuart
to start the school year off "sweet" :)
Summer was coming to an end and we hadn't gone camping. So we decided to have one in our living room. The plan was to set up the tent and watch Rango together. Someone fell asleep a little early though.

"Did you guys realize there's a TENT in the living room?"

Playdates

Leann and Brennan came in town so we had a few play dates!
Spot On~Swimming~Shopping~Walks~Lunch~Fun

Kohen: "Here let me dump this bucket of water on ya"

Happy Addie and Brennan
(Brennan looking longingly at Kohen's freedom haha)

And where's my son?

Being a hoolagin :)
(And yes he looks the part with his "speedo"
He didn't want to waste anytime getting a swimsuit on)

Brennan: "Wait for me Kohen. I'm coming too."
(Funny. He kept trying to climb out but for some reason would get bumped back in so he'd sit there looking like "hmm")

Miss Addie just chilling by herself. Such a content, sweet little girl.

TWO PEAS IN A POD
(They are only two weeks apart and so funny together. I wish I had gotten a picture of them running and hiding in the closet, in their shopping carts next to each other, on our walks, eating ice cream, ..... We are so sad they moved)

Checking out the Jeppson's apartment and playing with rocks

Just a couple pics from an older play date. All the kids have grown so much!

We have loved this ward and the friends we've made. Unfortunately we've already lost two families to dental and medical school.
But we decided to have one more get together before they left.
