To those who have gone on and to those who carry on

Ten years ago when I first heard about the news I was carpooling with my friend/"other brother" Chris to middle school when he asked if I had heard what happened. I hadn't nor did I really understand. I don't know if it's solely because I'm a decade older or because I have a child now that I can't bear the thought of loosing, that I sympathize so much deeper today.
I remember the sense of pride our country had and how we seemed to turn to God for comfort, understanding and strength. (I wish we could always keep that "one nation under God")
I am so grateful for the men and women who serve our country.
They leave their families to help ensure that me and my family are safe.
That I have the freedom to worship who I choose.
So that I don't have to feel so worried about being blown up by a bomb or a grenade if I step out into the street.
To not feel (AS) worried that something will happen to my children.
So my heart goes out to those who have gone on as well as those who carry on.
My prayers are with you!
